Program Overview
Franklin Junior Football is an introductory, full tackle program focused on teaching young players the fundamentals of football. Players will learn proper techniques and fundamental concepts of football in a fun, safe environment. Our objective is to help players develop a love for the game while exposing them to the longstanding football traditions of the Franklin Community. SABER PRIDE!

Team Formation
- Registration Opens 4/1
- Mini Combine: 6/12
- First Practice: 9/3
- Scrimmage: 9/6
- First Game: 9/13
- A mini combine is held in June to measure players for equipment & complete player evaluations
- Teams are formed by grades into two divisions with a focus on competitive balance
- PeeWee: Grades 1 & 2
- Junior: Grades 3 & 4
- Key considerations:
- Size of players (height & weight)
- Player skill level
- Equal number of players/team
- Every effort is made to honor team requests, but balanced teams & assignments of our volunteer coaches take first priority
Practice
Games
Practices are held Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:00pm

- Wednesdays: PeeWee & Juniors
- Practices are conducted in a camp-style format where players are taught the fundamentals of football and given an opportunity to experience all positions on offense and defense
- Games are held on Saturday mornings
- 6-game schedule
- This is an in-house league where teams compete exclusively against other teams in the Franklin Junior Football program
